Your Earnings tab has six built-in share methods. Each opens the right destination with your link pre-filled. This article covers when to use each.
The six share buttons
On your Earnings tab, below your invite link, you’ll see a row of share buttons:
- 📋 Copy link — copies to clipboard for pasting anywhere
- ✉️ Email — opens your default email app with subject and body pre-filled
- 𝕏 X / Twitter — opens X compose with a draft tweet
- 💼 LinkedIn — opens LinkedIn share dialog
- 💬 WhatsApp — opens WhatsApp Web (or app on mobile) with a draft message
- 🔲 QR code — opens a modal showing a scannable QR code
When to use each
The most personal channel. Best for inviting one specific person you know. Customize the pre-filled message before sending — generic invites convert poorly.
X / Twitter
Best for periodic mentions to your followers. Doesn’t work as a primary acquisition channel for most members — Twitter audiences click through links rarely. But occasional mentions remind your network you’re on the platform.
The single best channel for most Smile Channel members. Your LinkedIn audience is professional, takes recommendations seriously, and your network there overlaps heavily with the people who’d benefit. Share with a thoughtful caption — “I’ve been on The Smile Channel for X months and it’s helped me [specific result]”.
For close contacts, family, friends, or close professional groups. The most personal channel after email.
QR code
For in-person sharing. Print on business cards. Display on slides during talks. Add to a book back-cover. Anywhere people can scan with their phone camera. We cover QR uses in detail in the next article.
The members earning the most use a mix: 1-on-1 emails for warm contacts, LinkedIn for general awareness, QR code at events. They don’t blast — they place their link where the right people will see it in the right context.
