Browser compatibility

The Smile Channel works on all modern browsers. This article covers what’s supported and what to do if you’re having browser-specific issues.

Officially supported browsers

  • Chrome (last 2 major versions) — best supported, most testing happens here
  • Safari (last 2 versions, both desktop and iOS) — fully supported
  • Firefox (last 2 versions) — fully supported
  • Edge (last 2 versions) — fully supported

Limited support

  • Internet Explorer — no longer supported (Microsoft retired it)
  • Older Safari (iOS 14 and below) — most things work but some interactive elements may not
  • Brave — typically works, but its tracking protection sometimes blocks legitimate features (logout button not responding, etc.)
  • Tor — not officially supported; expect issues

If something’s broken in your browser

The fastest fixes:

  1. Clear your cache — Settings → Clear browsing data → cached images & files. Then reload the page.
  2. Try incognito / private mode — rules out browser extension interference
  3. Disable browser extensions — ad-blockers, privacy tools, password managers can occasionally break things
  4. Try a different browser — quickly identifies whether the issue is platform-wide or browser-specific
!
Aggressive ad-blockers

Some ad-blockers (especially uBlock Origin with strict lists) block legitimate functionality including the affiliate dashboard’s invite-link generator and the Help Center search. Whitelist thesmilechannel.com to fix.

If you’re sure it’s a real bug

Submit a support ticket with:

  • Your browser name and version (Help → About)
  • Your operating system
  • The URL where the issue appears
  • A screenshot showing the problem
  • Whether it also happens in incognito + with extensions disabled

That’s enough info for us to reproduce and fix.
