PP Client status — what it means

Some members on the platform have a special status called “PP Client”. This article explains what it means and how it relates to the standard tiers.

What PP stands for

PP = Perfect Publishing, the publishing imprint that’s a sister company to The Smile Channel. Both are run by the same team (Ken Rochon and crew).

Who gets PP Client status

Members who have an active publishing or coaching relationship with Perfect Publishing get this status added to their account. Examples:

  • Authors whose books are published through Perfect Publishing
  • Speakers in Perfect Publishing’s coaching programs
  • Members of curated PP cohorts (like author groups)

What PP Client unlocks

PP Client status sits alongside your tier. It’s not replacing Free / Starter / Pro / VIP — it’s an additional flag.

Benefits:

  • Access to PP-specific resources and events
  • Priority placement in PP-curated newsletter sections
  • Specialized coaching or production services (separate from the Smile Channel platform)
  • Inclusion in PP author / speaker rosters when relevant
i
PP Client doesn't replace your tier

A PP Client can be on Free, Starter, Pro, or VIP. The status is additive. Your tier still determines which Smile Channel features you have access to.

How to become a PP Client

Through Perfect Publishing’s separate application processes — coaching programs, publishing services, etc. You can’t apply for PP Client status directly through The Smile Channel platform.

If you’re interested in working with Perfect Publishing, contact Ken’s team through Perfect Publishing’s website (separate from this platform).

How to know if you’re a PP Client

Your dashboard’s Settings → Membership panel shows your tier and any additional flags including PP Client status.
