If you need to cancel your paid subscription entirely (going to Free or leaving the platform), here’s how.
Cancellation flow
- Dashboard → Settings → Membership
- Click “Cancel subscription”
- Optional: tell us why (the form is free-text and helps us improve)
- Confirm
Your paid tier remains active until the end of the current billing period. Then your account drops to Free.
What stays
- Your account and login
- Your public profile (it doesn’t disappear — Free profiles stay public)
- Your books, episodes, reviews, earnings (some hidden if over Free limits)
- Your invite link
What changes at the end of the cycle
- Tier-gated features stop working (One-Sheet, custom domain, video embeds, etc.)
- Profile drops to Free limits (1 social link visible, no book section, short bio only)
- Verified badge disappears unless you’ve earned it independently
If you just want a break but plan to come back, downgrading to Free preserves your account at no cost. Your full profile data stays in the system, just hidden behind Free tier limits. Re-upgrading later restores everything instantly.
If you want to fully delete the account
Cancellation is different from deletion. Cancelling keeps your data; deletion removes it. To fully delete, see the “Delete my account” article in the Account & Technical category.
Refund eligibility
Cancellation is separate from a refund. All paid plans have a 7-day refund window from initial purchase — see the next article for details.
