What goes in a review
| Field | Required? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Star rating | Yes | 1-5 stars, half-star increments allowed |
| One-line summary | Yes | The headline of your review |
| Full review | Yes | Min 100 words, max 2000 |
| Reading context | Optional | How / why you read the book |
| Recommended for | Optional | Who would benefit from this book |
100-word minimum
Reviews under 100 words are auto-rejected. The community values substantive feedback over drive-by ratings. If you can’t think of 100 words to say about a book, it might be a book you haven’t actually finished.
What happens after you submit
Your review goes into a peer-review queue (covered in the next article). Within a few days it gets approved or sent back with notes. Approved reviews appear on the author’s profile and you earn 1 reader point.
