Submitted a review you want to update or remove? This article shows how.
Editing a review
- Dashboard → “Your Book Reviews” tab
- Find the review in your list
- Click “Edit”
- Update any fields (rating, headline, full text)
- Click “Save and resubmit”
Edited reviews go back through the peer-review queue. The previous version stays public until the new version is approved, then they swap.
Editing a review to change a 5-star rating to 1-star (or vice versa) after some kind of falling-out with the author looks like — and is treated as — bad faith. Reviewers who do this risk losing submission privileges.
Deleting a review
- Dashboard → “Your Book Reviews” tab
- Find the review
- Click “Delete”
- Confirm in the popup
Deletion is permanent. The review disappears from the author’s profile immediately. You don’t lose your reader points — they stay accumulated — but the deleted review no longer counts toward your total review count.
What if a review is wrongly approved or wrongly rejected?
For wrongly-rejected reviews: edit the review in your dashboard addressing the reviewer’s notes, then resubmit. If you believe a rejection was unfair, contact support with the review ID and a brief explanation.
For wrongly-approved reviews (e.g. you noticed an embarrassing typo after publishing): just edit, fix, save. The peer-review pass for minor edits is fast.
