Known as “The Hope Dealer,” Tim is a nationally recognized speaker, recovery advocate, author, and subject of A&E’s acclaimed documentary Dope Man. His journey from heroin addiction, multiple overdoses, and incarceration to recovery and national advocacy is a powerful story of accountability, resilience, and redemption.
After rebuilding his life through recovery, Tim faced an unimaginable loss: the death of his 20-year-old son, Nick, from a heroin overdose. He transformed that grief into purpose, dedicating his life to helping individuals and families affected by addiction and challenging the stigma surrounding substance use disorders.
Tim is the founder of A Man in Recovery Foundation and author of From Dope to Hope: A Man in Recovery. Through speaking, education, media, and recovery advocacy, he connects audiences with honest insight, practical hope, and the belief that lasting change is possible.
