Kami Redd

Kami Redd is an author, entrepreneur, publisher, storyteller, and media founder whose work brings together publishing, cultural documentation, business strategy, spirituality, and creative development.

At the center of her work is a commitment to telling stories with honesty, preserving lived experiences, and creating platforms where people, particularly Black women, can be seen in their full humanity. Her writing and creative work explore Black womanhood, gratitude, spirituality, identity, relationships, healing, personal growth, and the realities that shape how people live and move forward.

Redd is the founder of Redd Ladys Chronicles Publishing & Production, the publishing and creative production company through which she develops books, magazines, media projects, and original intellectual property. Redd Ladys Chronicles publishes DBW Magazine, a publication of Dynamic Black Women Media, also known as DBW Media.

Through DBW Media, Redd is building a modern cultural platform devoted to documenting Black womanhood. The work goes beyond representation by preserving Black women's stories, perspectives, achievements, experiences, and everyday lives as part of a larger cultural record.

Her entrepreneurial work also includes Hill Country Consultants, where she applies her experience in strategy, branding, operations, business development, and creative direction to help entrepreneurs and organizations turn ideas into organized, sustainable ventures.

Redd describes part of her role in community as that of a healer through storytelling, connection, creativity, and service. As a breast cancer survivor and domestic violence survivor, she understands what it means to rebuild after life changes direction. Those experiences inform her perspective without defining the whole of who she is.

Her personal philosophy, S.M.I.L.E., stands for Share, Motivate, Inspire, Lives, Every day. It reflects her belief that the things we create, teach, share, and build should reach beyond ourselves and contribute something meaningful to the lives of others.

Today, Kami Redd is building a body of work that connects authorship, publishing, media, business, culture, faith, and community. Whether she is writing, producing, publishing, developing a business, or documenting Black womanhood, her work is grounded in ownership, truth, intention, and creating something substantial enough to remain after the moment has passed.
